When is your real application deadline?
Most nomads plan backwards from a flight date and discover the consulate needed the file weeks earlier. Pick the day you want to be living abroad — the planner works out the latest safe filing date for every program.
Each date works backwards from your target: the headline official processing estimate + 30 days to gather documents, apostilles and translations. Estimates are derived from the official timelines in our database (shown in full in the table) — consulate backlogs can stretch them, so earlier is safer.
| Country | Official processing | Apply by | Status |

No countries fit that date any more — move the target later, or apply immediately for the fastest programs.
Frequently asked questions
We take the headline official processing figure for each program from our verified database, convert working days to calendar days, and add a 30-day buffer for gathering documents, apostilles and translations. Subtracting that from your target move date gives the latest date you should file by. It is a planning estimate, not a guarantee — post-arrival stages like residence appointments aren't counted, and consulate backlogs vary.
